Extraordinary and special sessions
The Assembly can be convened in extraordinary session by the President, either on his own initiative or following a request by the Council or by not less than a quarter of the Representatives.
For specific events, the Assembly can be convened in special session, as was the case in October 1999 in Luxembourg and March 2000 in Lisbon.
